Baggage Mishap
January 11, 2007
Wow! How frustrating to deal with the central baggage office of Air Canada. I have had the pleasure of speaking with them several times daily since Monday, when the suitcases belonging to Maddie and I went missing as we journeyed from Winnipeg home to Yellowknife. I have run into rude folks, and some that just keep saying the same thing over and over: “We are very sorry for the inconvieniance Mrs. Switzer, but if you could please just give us a bit more time, we will locate your bags and forward them onto Yellowknife.” Needless to say, that still small voice in my head has been echoing the same things over and over: “Be patient, trust me, don’t dwell on material things.” I must admit I think I have failed this test miserably. My attitude has been less than admirable, however He is still faithful. As of 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, my bags were located in Edmonton and are due to arrive in Yellowknife today at 22:10. I will be there at the baggage carousel waiting. This has been a humbling experience to say the least. Thank you to everyone who put prayers up for my luggage. God is good…all the time.
