Another birthday came and went

Yes…’tis true. I am now 28 years of age. While that does feel dangerously close to 30, I am not bothered by the fact that like it or not, I am getting older. I am healthy, loved, and feeling more content and fulfilled than I ever have in my entire life. January 10th, 2007 marks my first birthday as a Mom. I held on tightly to Maddie throughout my special day, telling her that she is the best present I have ever recieved (aside from the gift of my Savior). Spending time with her was the highlight of my day, although there were many happy moments: Tara’s tea party in the afternoon, complete with “Happy Birthday” tunes and cupcakes; Supper made with Mark (partridge and home fries…yum!); Roses that arrived from my thoughtful husband; chats on the phone with Chuck, Mom, Kristi, Sarah, Allan, Aaron (plus a nice message from Dad!), and my coffee date with the girls at 8:30 p.m. God is so good. He has blessed me with more than I ever dreamed possible. I am thankful for each day that He will carry me through in the coming year.

Back in the ‘Knife with Friends

Maddie and I went for tea at Tara’s yesterday afternoon. Maddie was happy to play with Elijah and Emma, and I was thrilled to meet Yvonne’s new little daughter “Skyra”. She is a real dolly. It is nice to be home and seeing our friends again.
